Every student is different, with different backgrounds, abilities, interests and goals. We teach each person accordingly and, no matter their goals, want riders and their horses relaxed, comfortable and happy. All ages, disciplines, breeds and experience levels are welcome and we offer encouraging, positive instruction that is conducive to learning and making progress.
The basis of all good riding is dressage, which is simply a word that means training. So whether you ride dressage, western or english, endurance or jumpers, trail or just around your home, the basics are important. Looseness, relaxation, suppleness, bend, elasticity, a relaxed and happy attitude are all important in every discipline at all levels. Whether you are just beginning or are a seasoned competitor, our instruction will build on your strengths and help you develop not only an athletic horse but a willing and happy partner that you can enjoy.
Lessons are offered at Fox Run Farm or at your home or facility. Safety is paramount and helmets and heeled boots are required for all students. Instruction in ground work, lunging, flat work and over fences is available on one of our horses or on yours. We will try to work around your schedule and have a covered arena so lessons are available during the day or evening and on week days or the weekends.
Private lessons at Fox Run Farm are $50 for 45 minutes. Semi-private lessons are $40 per hour. Jumping lessons are $60 for 45 minutes. A $5 military discount is available for all lessons.
Lessons are also available at your home or facility. Travel fees are charged according to distance. Clinic fees by the day are also available.
Virtual real time lessons and video critiques are also available so you can receive instruction without ever leaving home. Click here for details.
